It’s really nice you want to help. There are a number of ways by which you could help me go about my work. Most of what I need won’t cost you anything (much), but if you would like to donate or help me reach difficult-to-access wild places, I would be thrilled!

So, how can you help?

You can spread word of my existence and get more people to know me and my work. The more my work is appreciated, the more its market value increases. That’s good for me.

If you have a blog or a website you can add a link to my website (http://www.meethil.com). You may provide a text link anywhere on your website/blog, or add my website to your blogroll. Spreading the word online or offline is a real challenge. You can help by using wallpapers and screensavers from my site. Hopefully, your colleagues and friends will notice my work and remember me.

Occasionally I need testimonials, if you know me and can share some good words about me and my work that would be great. You can use the Contact section of the website to send me your testimonial.

Write about me and my website on your blog
Generate some positive press for me. If you run a successful blog/website you can help by writing about me and my pictures on your blog. Don’t forget to add a link to my website/blog. And send me the link to your post so that i can link to it from my website/blog.

If you are a wildlife enthusiast, volunteer/employee of an NGO...
... you can help by sharing information about wildlife sightings, or new developments in the field. Volunteers/NGOs can share grassroot level contacts who may help me in my fieldwork.

If you are a wildlife expert, researchers, scientist...
... we can work together to document the natural world with a more accurate perspective. If you are a scientist, researcher or a student (M.Sc, Ph.D. etc.) working on, or studying, any subject related to the natural world, I urge you to read the Refocus section of this website. I could visit your study area, take pictures of the species and habitat you are studying; help you document your role in the study, and you get free well-shot digital images to use in your documentation and presentations.

If you are well-connected...
...and have influential friends or relatives in the Indian Government, Ministry of Environment and Forests, or the Defence Forces, you can help me get access to restricted areas in the north and east of India. Because of its restricted status these remote areas are thriving in wildlife (so I’ve heard). It’s extremely important to photo-document the wildlife of these areas. If you could help me do this, I would be most grateful. Please contact me, all communication will be kept confidential at all times.

Use me
I could conduct talks or short workshops on photography for your employees/ students. Contact me to discuss how we can take this forward.

Adopt me
If you own a resort, hotel, or tourism company, you can discount (fully or partially) my stay at a particular national park or wildlife sanctuary. I usually need about 7-15 days for a fruitful photoshoot. Of course you get something in return, call or write to me to discuss a deal.
 

Buy services from Mountain Media
If you run a website you could consider buying web hosting from my firm Mountain Media (http://www.mountainmedia.in) the next time you are up for renewal. You can have your current domain name transferred to Mountain Media, or buy a new one from me. Do check out the Internet services on offer.
